I weigh myself everyday. I know that the “experts” tell you not to do that, but I do it for several reasons. It keeps me honest and on track. I can see when my choices begin to have a negative impact and that lets me know that I need to back up and assess.
But when you weigh everyday, you have to realize that it’s not the daily number that’s important; it’s the overall trend. And so far, my trend is going in the right direction.
So how’d I do this week? Well I had a few off days food-wise, but I’ve decided I won’t call them bad days anymore. That implies that I wasn’t in control of the food that I put in my mouth – and I was. I chose to eat McDonald’s and boneless wings this week – so I have to deal with the consequences.
Starting Weight: 233.6
Last Weigh-in: 223.8
Current Weight: 222.4
Total Weight Lost: 11.2 pounds
And as always, my measurements show overall change rather than the difference from week to week.
Waist: no change
Thighs: -2.75 (both of them together)
Arms: no change (one of them went up this week)
Chest: no change
Total: -5.25 inches
While I do feel some disappointment with my measurements (some of them went up this week), the trend is still an overall loss. That’s what I need to focus on. I am moving in the right direction.
